First Methodist Monroe has partnered with the Swannanoa Christian Church in Swannanoa, NC, to aid in disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The small town of Swannanoa was devastated by the storm, and it will take months, not weeks, to restore this small mountain community located just outside of Asheville. Our church has sent funds to help with supplies, food, and tools that will aid and assist Swannanoa residents in rebuilding what was lost. By partnering with a local church, this also helps point storm survivors to a faith community who can help see them through this difficult time in their lives.
