MISSIONS

MISSIONS ABROAD

First Methodist Monroe is currently partnered with two families living abroad on mission. The Jackson family in Germany and the Skinner family in Japan. Both are very difficult yet wildly different locations.

MEET THE JACKSONS!

SERVING IN GERMANY

Their work is based in central Germany, north of Frankfurt (Gießen, Wetzlar). Daniel trains ministers at the Giessen School of Theology (FTH). With the local church and their partnering churches in the US, they help organize an annual, evangelistic outreach event for teenagers in our area. Beyond that, they are engaged in a ministry of presence with the goal of bringing the good news in a highly secularized and multicultural society.

In Japan, the Skinner family has just landed on a four-year mission to plant a church in rural Japan where the gospel is very sparse, and Jesus is not well known.
